PERKINS company is the Slovak producer and distributor of mayonnaise, Tartar sauces, ketchup, delicatessen salads, fish products and cooled pastas.
PERKINS company has been operating successfully at the market for eleven years. The company has its seat in the town of Poprad and at the moment it employs 190 people.
The basic production of the company includes mayonnaise and mayonnaise delicatessen salads.
Cooled pasta belongs to our additional assortment.
Pastas are irreplaceable in our kitchen. We have known them as long as since the Middle Ages. Marco Polo, the great traveller and explorer, was the one who enabled us all to enjoy pasta products.
Traditional Slovak kinds of pasta products are pirohy; filled with potato-and-sheep cheese filling; or with sweet fillings– such as marmalade, marmalade-and-curd and curd filling.
Trade description of these products is following:

This assortment is complemented with cooled pasta without filling:

In May 2003, PERKINS company enlarged its assortment of cooled pastas by products, that are produced according to Italian recipes.
They are products having the following trade names:
- Tortellini
- Garlic-flavoured Ravioli
- Onion-flavoured Ravioli
At primary processing of cooled pasta - boiling - it is necessary to keep boiling time. Recommended time of boiling is 6 to 10 minutes.
Pasta should be cooked in salty water into which one table-spoon of oil is added. 100 grams of pasta requires minimum 1 litre of water for cooking.
There are no limitations to final preparations before filled pasta is served.
We recommend to serve sheep cheese pirohy in a traditional way - with fried bacon, sour cream and fresh chive.
When pirohy have sweet filling, fried breadcrumbs, ground poppy seeds or walnuts, fresh curd with adding powder sugar and hot butter are the most suitable solutions.
We recommend various cream, cheese or mushroom sauces, tomato sauces with herbs such as basil, oregano or garlic to serve with Italian pasta. These kinds of pasta are very tasty when used in soups.
Pasta is a wide source of ballast substances, which help human body to get rid of waste and they keep digesting and excretory organs in good condition. They contain a lot of saccharides in the form; which is beneficial and easily digestible for our body.Further pro of pasta is content of minerals and trace elements.
